How to install Equinox front license plate bracket The instructions are printed on the plastic bracket itself, kinda hard to read but I typed it out to help. I am glad it does have side grooves were the plastic bottom front unpainted fascia piece meets the painted bumper part, this. I hit the wrong post 'quote'. I meant that for the OP.
However, any idea if that includes the mounting hardware too? I can't really tell from my eBay search if the hardware has a separate part number or is included with the front plate bracket.Mine came with all items for install from my dealer, GMPARTSNOW has listings for rivets etc Maybe my dealer 'worked' with me and GM list price is in the 30 dollar range If you do purchase I would place the holder on the vehicle with double stick tape first before any holes are drilled.
When it has the rivets- you should be able to take a large drill bit- and drill out the head- then it falls apart. You will be left with a hole. Ive seen people find little caps and pop them in the hole- they have also take touch up paint and painted the little caps--- and its a very nice way to fix this. I dont recall where they got the caps.
But If I were looking to do this--- I would look at the fasteners used to hold trim pieces toghether. Just like the ones used to hold the big plastic piece under the hood. Where you push in on the center to pop out the fastener.
